Founded in 1984, the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Alliance (TREIA) was a multi-disciplinary network of individuals and organizations working together to understand and deliver on member priorities; increase renewable energy across Texas; grow the local and state economy; and, create jobs. Their industry stakeholders are involved in a diverse portfolio of renewable energy solutions including but not limited to: solar, wind, biomass, biofuel, energy efficiency, geothermal, hydro, ocean, and energy storage which provide balanced solutions and input to challenges facing our industry.
TREIA was committed to modernizing the power grid to advance renewable integration through industry collaboration and strategic alliances with a goal to achieve 50% renewable energy in Texas by 2030.
